He has been the Director of the Department of Human Anatomy and has held positions as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine and President of the Permanent Conference of the Italian Faculties and Schools of Medicine and Surgery. Professor of Anatomy at the University Vita-Salute San Raffaele

Medical School and Director of Division Center for Experimental Imaging at the Scientific Institute San Raffaele, Milan. He has been full Professor of Anatomy at the University of Genova, Medical School, Genova. He is the Founder and Director of MicroSCoBiO (Correlative Microscopy and Spectrometry in Biomedicine) Research Center, University of Genova, Medical School. He is the author of more than 100 scientific publications. Furthermore, he is the author of relevant books in the fields of anatomy, medical histology and medical biology-cytology.

Dr. Claudio Zimaglia

Physiotherapist and DOE osteopath

A member and founding partner of the AIFOS (Italian Association of Sports Physiotherapists and Osteopaths) who works in providing physiotherapy assistance to both able-bodied and disabled athletes during national and international events. He was the physiotherapist manager responsible for the Athlete Assistance Service and coordinator of physiotherapists at the Turin University Olympics in 2007, during which occasion he organized, together with AIFOS collaborators, the international pre-congress University and sport: progress in prevention and treatment of sports injuries. He is mainly interested in sports physiotherapy, manual therapy, study of postural alterations, posturology, functional bandaging, and postural reeducation (including through the application of the Pilates method, about which he conducts theoretical-practical courses with the FisioPilates® method). He is working especially in the tennis world following national and international level athletes, assisting them as a physiotherapist during competitions. He has collaborated with the odontostomatological clinic of Professor Pietro Bracco, director of the University Clinic of Orthodontics of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Turin, in the field on craniomandibular dysfunction research and postural correlations in the sports. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of Turin.

David Blow

The founder and president of the NeuroMuscular Taping Institute

He is an international instructor of NeuroMuscular Taping in Europe, the United States, Africa and Asia. He has 30 years of therapeutic experience in rehabilitation, including training in Australia, China, Japan, and Italy. In 2003, he developed the NeuroMuscular Taping Concept (NMTConcept), which has become popular and is creating significant changes in the field of rehabilitation. The NeuroMuscular Taping Institute is a result of his passion for training doctors and professionals in rehabilitation with protocols able to improve patients’ overall treatment results and, consequently, the patient’s quality of life. Since then, he has developed the NMTconcept creating a clinically validated method, used in Italy in neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, both by public and private health companies, becoming a traditional treatment protocol for many therapeutic conditions. He has published several case studies and articles on the subject, is currently involved in numerous research projects, including projects involving the treatment of multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, pediatric, neurological, orthopedic diseases, oncology and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Dr. Didier Tomson

A physiotherapist and osteopath

He has worked at the Vaudois University Hospital, Switzerland. In 1981, he introduced the decongestive physiotherapy at the service of rehabilitation. He worked as a Professor at the Physiotherapy School in Lausanne and in the School of Physiotherapy in Geneva. He is the owner of the Physiotherapy Institute in Lausanne. Student of Professor Michael Földi, he is a certified teacher in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Decongestive Physiotherapy. He has lectured on these disciplines in Europe and South America. In addition, he teaches E. Vodder’s original method together with theoretical and practical courses for lymphedema treatment in several schools devoted to manual lymphatic drainage. He is the author of numerous publications on lymphology and is the co-founder of the Société Européene de Physiothérapie Respiratorie, Cardiaque et Vasculaire (European Society of Respiratory and Cardiovascular Physiotherapy).

Dr. Christian Schuchhardt

A specialist in clinical hematology, oncology and internal medicine

He served as Deputy Director at the Professor Michael Földi Medical Center and then as Medical Director of the Pieper Medical Center, a clinic specialized in oncology and lymphology in Blasien-Menzenschwand, Germany. In addition, he works as Medical Director in several schools dedicated to lymphatic drainage and decongestive physiotherapy in Germany and abroad. Dr. Piero Benelli

A Sports Medicine Physician, with a past as a swimmer, pentathlete, and swimming trainer

Since 2008, he is the team doctor of the Italian men’s volleyball team and, since 1988, of the team Victoria Libertas Basket Pesaro, with a period of collaboration (2001-2007) with the Italian men’s basketball team. He has been teaching of the School of Motor Sciences in Carlo Bo University of Urbino, and of university master programs at Schools of Physiotherapy, Medicine and Surgery (Siena and Bologna), Italy. He has decades of experience in traumatology and rehabilitation, not just in athletics. As the director of several rehabilitation centers, and as a participant in training projects in the sector, he has accumulated significant experience in aquatic rehabilitation. He has published several scientific articles, and has lectured at numerous national and international conferences in this sector, which has allowed him to become a reference in the field.

Graduated in Sport Science and Physiotherapy

has always been dedicated to rehabilitation and uses hydrotherapy since 1990. He is a member of the Rehabilitation Committee of SIGASCOT (Società Italiana del Ginocchio, Artroscopia, Sport, Cartilagine, Tecnologie Ortopediche) and a teacher of Rehabilitation in Sports Traumatology in the Italian Academy of Osteopathic Medicine in Saronno (Varese, Italy). Dr. Emanuele Rovatti

Dr. Matteo Gelardi

Otorhinolaryngology specialist

with specific expertise in clinical allergy and immunology, as well as in morphometric and immunohistochemical techniques applied to clinical oncology. He is currently “Head of the Rhinology Unit” at the Clinic of Otorhinolaryngology, “Policlinico di Bari” University Hospital, University of Bari. He has published in leading scientific journals and has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences. He is author of the first “Atlas of Nasal Cytology” (Centro Scientifico Editore, 2004) which was translated into English in 2007. He regularly organizes Masters courses accredited by the Ministry of Health for specialists in upper airway infections (otorhinolaryngologists, pediatricians, allergists, pulmonologists, etc.) as well as international Masters courses in nasal cytology accredited by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS). He has been the Organizer and Scientific Director of 15 Courses of Surgical Techniques concerning: Anastomotic techniques and peripheral revascularization, Carotid Surgery, Abdominal Aortic Surgery, held in Milan (Italy), Siena (Italy) and Salvador Bahia (Brazil).
